(First Tamil language book on film technology, used as syllabus for Madurai Kamarajar University).
He is the writer, Screenwriter, Dialogue Writer, Film Architect and Producer for Tamil Film, ‘Maa’. This film entered the ‘Limca Book of Records’ in 2010 for having handled the production exclusively by Persons with Disabilities. The film, which fights for the rights of the disabled, follows the conventions set by the United Nations Convention. The crew members were picked through various competitions based on 14 different criteria in accordance with the film arts. The crew members, 64 in number, were trained over a period of 3 months before commencing production.
Madan Gabriel, the architect of MAA film, received numerous accolades from leading newspapers and magazines.
He acted as male lead in Malayalam film, ‘Mala MugileleDheivam’ directed by P.N. Menon in 1982, which won National Award for Best Malayalam Film.
Produced and directed short films on various social issues and conducted short film competitions at State-level.
Acted in plays aired on AIR and Doordarshan at an A-Grade artist.
He enacted experimental plays on various topics like AIDS, Pollution, and Role of Women.
He was instrumental in fighting for the disqualification of 15 Lakh people holding illegal degrees offered by Open Universities throughout India. The judgment was passed by the Supreme Court on February 25, 2009 (refer W.P.No.36307 of 2004).
